That is certainly not what i took from his column
What I took is the overlap around "freedom to discriminate" and "freedom to ignore the greater good in favor of me". Both libertarians and alt righters seem to be believe in these. These may come at them from different sides, one from a "government should stay out of my life" standpoint, the other from "I shouldn't have to associate with those sub humans" perspective. But I certainly have met a number of people, including some here. who cloak themselves in "libertarian" labels to justify their own prejudices and bigotry.
Personally this is one of those areas where libertarianism breaks down for me, as does almost any rigidly applied socio economic theory. To me it ignores the responsibility of people within a community TO that community.
